Vacancy – Network Administrator Purpose of the job Administration, maintenance and support of all ICT systems and networks, manage and maintain a high network infrastructure for the Bank. Main Focus Areas 1. Networking • Planning and implementation of additions, deletions and major modifications to the supporting infrastructure group-wide for all environments. • Implement network security at the corporate level as established by the Bank security strategy. 2. Service Desk • Monitor the availability of all critical business systems and infrastructure. • Assist in the coordination and resolution of all service desk activities assigned to Infrastructure Support. • Ensure all calls logged are displayed in an appropriate and visible manner to the service desk by means of physical screens or web interface solutions. • Ensure calls are closed and managed (aggressively) and ensure calls are properly closed following appropriate governance in terms of documentation, change management and update of asset register, change Log, CMDB, Architectural documents, licensing and other relevant information to be updated. 3. Asset Management • Help decide, in conjunction with corporate leadership, which software and hardware products and other equipment are most suited for use. • Document and Maintain accurate asset register of all infrastructure and software licenses in line with the Deloitte proposed Architecture Blueprint in the CMDB. • Assist in IT-related asset purchases on a companywide basis. 4. Production Support • Ensure backup strategy with appropriate hardware and software is rolled out and executed. This includes all servers, desktop and laptops in line with the bank’s strategy. • Closely liaise and help support DR and BC initiatives in line with the head of IT operations. • Assist in preparing management report of uptimes of all systems. • Continuously report on all open service desk calls e.g. Zabbix, Eventum, FCC, iSupport on a monthly basis • Flag and assist in the resolution of open calls. • Prepare Monthly/ Weekly report of top internet and eMail users to create awareness. • Prepare Monthly and Weekly report of virus and patch management as well as security incidents. PMO Support • Assist and communicate to the Head the PMO expectations related to hardware, software and other requirements. • Assist in the establishment of processes, procedures and even input into policies to better align the PMO with IT production. • Assist the PMO with the standardization of the Branch Infrastructure. Qualifications and Work Experience • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in banking and retail environment dealing with IS Networking. • General network management (including working knowledge of fibre cabling and implications) • IT Degree or equivalent • Microsoft Certified Professional • Microsoft MCSE at reputable institution • Windows Server (2012 & 2016) • Experience in using Office 365 • Experience in using Windows 10 Skills and Competencies: • Strong relationships building and networking skills. • Ability to work under pressure and strong adherence to deadlines and targets. • Good problem-solving skills, expressing the ability to question, listen and understand the customer and business environment. Technical Pre-requisites • Up -to -date with the current (and future) levels of IT Infrastructure.
