Job Title:Livelihoods Officer Reports To:Project Coordinator Location:Umzingwane Purpose of the Position: To implement project activities in the District as required by the Project according to the donor and World Vision standards. Major Accountabilities/ Responsibilities: -Ensure implementation, monitoring and evaluation of project deliverables with the district team as per project design

1. -Collaborate with relevant stakeholders (Farmers, World Vision Zimbabwe Area Program, Ministry of Agriculture, other NGOs and the Project Coordinator) to ensure appropriate programming strategies are developed and refined for the target population
2. -Ensure the appropriate selection of target population to participate in the program.
3. -Visit target communities on a regular basis to discuss with farmers their problems and experiences and learn about communities and agricultural practices relevant to the increased production of food for target communities.
4. -Ensure the design of appropriate training methods and materials for use in local community development work and informal education activities.
5. -Ensure the timely production of regular and timely progress reports regarding projects.
6. -Participate in planning sessions and in the development of program strategies
7. -Participate in special projects as assigned by the Project Coordinator or designated representative.

Qualifications and Skills: _____________________________________________________________________ -A Degree in Agriculture, Development Studies, or any relevant degree from a recognised university.

1. -Two years relevant experience in NGO field especially in cash-based programming.
2. -Demonstrated ability in the design and effective use of training materials.
3. -Knowledge on agronomy and other agricultural related programmes.
4. -Knowledge in agricultural program design and implementation.
5. -Ability to respect and relate to people of different ethics and culture.
6. -Ability to solve problems efficiently and effectively.
7. -Ability to complete tasks in a timely, cost effective way.
8. -Ability to achieve pre-defined results and outcomes using ethical, best practice methods.
