Please note that the duties and responsibilities of a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer/Associate
Professor and Professor are grouped into 5 main categories which are:N
(a) Teaching â the incumbent is expected to teach or deliver lectures in accordance to the
Department and or Faculty guidelines and standards.
(b) University Service and Community engagement â the incumbent should participate in
all Department, Faculty/School and University activities such as attending meetings,
training workshops, conferences and seminars, among others.
(c) Research â the incumbent is expected to engage in active research in his/her area of
specialization which benefits both the students and the University.
(d) Innovations â leading to tangible products and services
(e) Industrialization âthrough commercialization of products
Financial Appreciation in Education (1 post)
Qualifications:
⢠Bachelorâs degree in Accounting with at least a 2.1 pass.
⢠Masters degree in Accounting or equivalent.
⢠A teaching qualification is added advantage
⢠PhD or proof of studying for a PhD in the relevant area is an added advantage.
Competencies and Responsibilities
The candidate must possess any of the following skills/knowledge:
⢠Ability to teach Accounting modules up to undergraduate level
⢠Ability to design and develop teaching and learning materials
C. Indigenous Languages (1 post)
Qualifications:
⢠Bachelorâs degree in a specific Indigenous Language with at least a 2.1 pass.
⢠Masters degree in Indigenous Languages or equivalent preferably native speakers of
Tonga and Nambya.
⢠A teaching qualification.
⢠PhD or proof of studying for a PhD in the relevant area is an added advantage.
Competencies and Responsibilities
The candidate must possess any of the following skills/knowledge:
⢠Ability to teach Indigenous Languages modules up to undergraduate level,
