Position summary

This appointment is in the School of Engineering and Information & Communication Technology (ICT) at AJU. The incumbent will make an engaged and effective contribution to the discipline of ICT. Specifically, he/she will undertake impactful, collaborative research of national standing; coordinate and deliver high-quality teaching; provide significant contributions to curriculum development and unit and course coordination; acquire external funding to support research and/or learning and teaching activities; and effectively supervise PhD candidates. The ability to teach across a number of ICT related areas such courses in ICT as software design and development, database and web/internet development, project management, network technology including system administration and security, and/or information systems including ERP, knowledge management and ICT system strategy at a postgraduate level is required.The appointee will work closely with staff in the discipline of ICT, and interact with other academic staff, professional staff, current and prospective students and candidates across the School of Engineering and ICT. The Incumbent will also work with relevant industry and government, external professional organisations and community groups.

Educational requirements

An earned BSc, MSc and PhD or equivalent in Computer Science or Information Communication Technology or a relevant field; A strong record of continuing commitment to, research that makes notable contributions to the field of ICT, in areas such as virtual/augmented reality technology, artificial intelligence and/or information systems; At Least two (2) years’ experience and demonstrated achievement in high-quality, University-level teaching and learning; Demonstrated adaptability and commitment to innovation in Learning and Teaching Pedagogy and the capacity to contribute to curriculum development and the development of new units.
