Physical Chemistry: Lecturer/Senior Lecturer/Associate Professor/Professor (2 Posts) Duties The successful candidate should be able to teach the following courses at undergraduate and postgraduate levels e.g. Kinetics and Thermodynamics, phase equilibria, surface chemistry, quantum theory, special topics in Materials Chemistry, Nanoscience and Nanotechnology and chemical engineering . In addition the successful candidate will be required to develop and introduce new Undergraduate and Post-graduate courses and to supervise Undergraduate and Post¬graduate research projects. The eligible candidate must also be able to develop and supervise laboratory practicals, link the department with international and professional organizations, apply for research grants to international and regional research funding institutions and actively participate in University Extension Services. Qualifications Applicants must have a PhD in Physical Chemistry and must have working experience at a tertiary institution as a Lecturer or Teaching Assistant. A Masters' degree holder in Physical Chemistry with a merit degree classification preferably studyingtowards a PhD may be considered.
