Please note that the duties and responsibilities of a Lecturer/ Senior Lecturer/Associate Professor and Professor are grouped into 5 main categories which are: Teaching—the incumbent is expected to teach or deliver lectures in accordance to the Department and or Faculty guidelines and standards. University Service and Community engagement—the incumbent should participate in all Department, Faculty/School and University activities such as attending meetings, training workshops, conferences and seminars, among others. Research—the incumbent is expected to engage in active research in film as a subject of specialty which benefits both the students and the university. Innovations—candidate should demonstrate a high aptitude for creating new and effective ways for sourcing grants for film, negotiating product contracts, marketing and distributing departmental film products, and encouraging quality product output that competes favorably locally, regionally and internationally. Industrialisation—Commercialization of film locally, regionally and internationally, creating business collaborations and synergies, cultivate business acumen ship in students. POST: LECTURER (1 Post-Temporary Full Time—Zvishavane Campus) QUALIFICATIONS A good first Honours Degree in Film and Theatre Arts or equivalent with at least 2.1 pass. Master’s Degree in Film or equivalent (Merit or Distinction) PhD in Film or relevant field is an added advantage. Work experience at higher education is an added advantage. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The candidate must be capable of supervising student’s research work and should be able to teach at least three (3) of the following modules at undergraduate level: Film Editing (practical module) Film Projects Management Managing Institutions of Film Sound and Visual effects Film and Video production (practical module) Sc
