JOB PURPOSE
To deliver high-quality technical support, system, and data maintenance across a range of areas, in order to contribute to the effective delivery of IT services. The incumbent will support the Country Office (CO) and Field Offices (FO) with the technical operations and ongoing support and scale-up of digital solutions, specifically SCOPE (SCOPE is our beneficiary management system for all interventions) in the field. Will provide operational support including user support and training, catering for continuity of existing operations, but also scale up and deployment of new operations, as well as supporting change management and providing ongoing monitoring of technical aspects of operations.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (not all-inclusive)
- Support the implementation of SCOPE in the Field, in collaboration with colleagues in the Digital and Data services sub-unit, ensuring software and hardware is configured and usable.
- Provide ongoing support during SCOPE operations in the Field, including but not limited to identity checks, data comparisons, and biometrics quality, ensuring beneficiaries are efficiently registered and managed, and also that distributions are done in time and efficiently.
- Analyze the use of SCOPE by internal and external partners to inform the management of problems, and gaps and suggest ways to improve performance and partner working relationships e.g. deduplication.
- Identify gaps in functionality resulting from requirements from deep-field operations and suggest improvements to the methods and process to support the continuous improvement of SCOPE services.
Carry out system maintenance tasks, such as performing monitoring tasks, running system diagnostics, and system optimization, to ensure they are running effectively and enable easy and efficient use.
Maintain technology, including standard repairs, configuration, and storage, in accordance with data security and access controls to ensure IT equipment required for WFP staff is available.
- Prepare files and systems for inventory and archives, such as website content and directories, to ensure information is accurate and up-to-date.
- Respond to a variety of queries about technology and systems in order to assist WFP staff in delivering their services.
- With the support of senior colleagues, provide standard training to end users (internal and external partners) of technology and systems (SCOPE and other software solutions) to ensure staff use standard technology and systems effectively

Assists in the technology selection process by collating information on vendors and/or products for evaluation against criteria.
DESIRED EXPERIENCES FOR ENTRY INTO THE ROLE
- Has experience resolving more complex technical issues.
- Has worked with head of units in defining requirements for functional area.
- Has experience with the application of client services standards to resolve or escalate clients’ service problems.
