About CNFA and Amalima Loko
CNFA is a US-based non-profit nongovernmental organization (NGO) that works to stimulate economic growth and improve rural livelihoods in the developing world through five core capabilities: (1) Productivity, Food Security and Nutrition; (2) Input Supply and Farm Services; (3) Economic Resilience and Rapid Recovery; (4) Value Chain Development; and (5) Volunteer Technical Assistance. Amalima Loko is a new USAID-funded 5-year program implemented by CNFA and 5 partner organizations which applies community-driven approaches to improve food security, nutrition, and natural resource management in over 80 communal wards in Matabeland North.
Position Summary
The IT Assistant will be responsible for supporting ICT services in one of two Amalima Loko field offices. S/he will closely work with district staff and IT Officer for effective IT support. This position reports to the IT Officer.
Location - Hwange or Lupane
Responsibilities
Process all District IT procurement requests through IT Officer.
Conduct regular service and maintenance of all IT equipment in the District.
Responsible for installing, upgrading components, setting up software, assisting with network administration in the districts.
Maintaining and troubleshooting all network and computer related issues.
Monitoring performance and managing parameters to provide fast responses to front-end users;
supporting computer networking for best performance,
Troubleshooting and repair of hardware and Software systems,
Monitor company compliance of IT requirements.
Assist in testing and evaluating all new technology including M&E systems e.g. database etc.
In collaboration with IT Officer and M&E Manager, support strategies and tools for monitoring and evaluating the project.
Conducting electrical safety checks on computer equipment
Working closely with IT Officer on technology issues e.g. graphic designing, Geographic Information Systems development, software development teams.
Resolving all district IT support issues.
Recommend and enhance office IT system through appropriate upgrades.
Policy implementation for asset management, maintenance of district component inventory.

Support Database administration and Database systems and equipment including but not limited to Android devices in the district.
Attend to all data capture issues at District level.
Attend to all Commodity Tracking System (CTS) issues in consultation with IT Officer.
Help desk and online systems support.
Produce bi-monthly IT report for relevant districts of operation.
Document and report all IT related Incidents to IT Officer.
Any other duties assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications
A diploma in IT. A degree in computer science will be an added advantage
At least 3 years' experience in IT, preferably with NGOs in remote field offices
Additional relevant experience and education may compensate for a lack of IT diploma.
Further training in IT a plus
Clean class 4 drivers' license
