Cassava Smartech is looking for a competent IS Security Manager to join its dynamic team.

Job Purpose

The role is responsible for the development, implementation and support of integrated enterprise Information Security Program to safeguard business information assets against unauthorized use.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following, among others:

• Develops enterprise information security framework/architecture.
• Develops the Information Security strategic and corporate aims for the Information Systems department.
• Develops and implements of enterprise information security policy, standards, guidelines and procedures to ensure ongoing maintenance of information security program.
• Enforces the adherence of the information security policies.
• Plans, designs and oversees implementation of Information security solutions.
• Plans, designs and implements information security projects.
• Conducts periodic security or vulnerability assessments on enterprise IT infrastructure.
• Ensures issues raised on the vulnerability report are addressed.
• Draws up information security annual budget.
• Manages and controls the information security budget.
• Develops the necessary plans to ensure that the Information Security section meets it’s agreed goals and objectives.

Qualification, Skills and Experience

• A Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or equivalent
• A relevant vocational qualification Linux Certification, Oracle Certification is an added advantage.
• 6 to 8 years’ experience in a similar or related environment, with a minimum of 2 years in a senior management position.
• Working knowledge of windows based operating systems & UNIX.
• Ability to work with minimum supervision.
• Good interpersonal skills are important.
