Applications are invited from competent, suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill in the position of Intensive Care Unit Nurse based at our Harare Hospital.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Evaluate and monitor patient’s progress
- Identify sudden or subtle changes in patients medical conditions
- Deliver regular updates to Doctors, patients and their family members
- Begin treatment and monitor doses
- If necessary respond to medical emergency and alert the appropriate doctor
- Care for patients need throughout their recovery in the ICU unit
- Complete all paper work before transferring the patient
- Maintain patient’s records
- Create and implement effective care plans
REQUIREMENTS
- Degree or Diploma in Intensive Care Unit
- At least 3 years experience as an ICN nurse
- Current Practising Certificate
- Good interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure
- Ability to speak Ndebele
