Zimbabwe Health Interventions is a not for profit human development organisation which is registered as a Trust under the Zimbabwe Deeds Registries Act (Chapter 20:05). ZHI’s mission is to develop and deliver innovative and sustainable high impact integrated health interventions with local communities while working with and strengthening existing institutions.
Basic Function
Reporting to the Human Resources Manager (HRM), the position provides operational and administrative support to implement effective functional Human Resources (HR) processes for Zimbabwe Health Interventions (ZHI). The position is responsible for supporting all HR functional areas including recruitment and selection, employee relations and welfare, benefits administration, payroll, employee training and development and general HR administration.
Job Description
Support the recruitment and selection process working closely with HRM and hiring managers. Draft offer letters under guidance of the HRM and communicate to candidates where relevant. Conduct new hire orientation and ensure all relevant documents are included in the orientation package. Follow-up on approvals for all HR related documents. Maintain an accurate personnel filing system for all staff, ensuring that each individual file conforms to audit expectations and has all the required documentation. Leave Administration - maintain an accurate record of employee leave ensuring compliance with ZHI leave policies. Collect the required data/documentation for the medical aid, group life insurance and any other employee benefit schemes. Prepare and process monthly payroll, in close liaison with the HRM and Finance department. Administration of timesheet – ensuring that timesheets are accurately completed and on time. Providing general Human Resources support through attending to general HR queries from staff, communicating to staff via email or telephone as required. Prepare draft departmental weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc reports. Prepare and submit monthly remittances for NSSA and NEC Supporting the disciplinary hearing and grievance handling process. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and experience
BS/BA degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Social Sciences or its recognized equivalent with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience postgraduate as HR Assistant /graduate learnership level.
