We also campaign and advocate at the highest levels to realise the right of children and to ensure their voices are heard.
We are working towards three breakthroughs in how the world treats children by 2030: No child dies from preventable causes before their 5th birthday; All children learn from a quality basic education and that, Violence against children is no longer tolerated
We need to keep children safe so our selection process, which includes rigorous background checks, reflects our commitment to the protection of children from abuse.
The Health and Nutrition Manager takes overall responsibility for the strategic direction, growth and coordination of Save the Children International’s work on health and nutrition (including health and nutrition in development and emergency contexts, human resources for health, policy advocacy in the Zimbabwe Country Programme).
Qualifications, skills and experience
Master’s in public health, nutrition or a related field; At least 5 years’ relevant technical health and nutrition experience; Proven experience of developing and managing high quality, innovative and cost-effective health and nutrition projects with International NGOs; Proven experience in writing up high quality donor reports and proposals; Demonstrated ability to work in health and nutrition program in collaboration with national health ministries, local authorities and international and local partners; Demonstrated budget management experience; Good training and mentoring skills. Proven experience of capacity building teams.
