About Us Girls and Women Empowerment Network Trust is a community centred organisation operation in Greater Harare, Chitungwiza and its peripheries. The organisation's main mission is to build the capacity of girls and young women as well as provide them with support and platforms for engagement in pursuit of their empowerment in all spheres of life. Summary of duties and responsibilities The graduate intern will directly assist the Senior Programs Officer with a wide range of programme activities related to day to day support to project implementation and ensuring conformity to expected results, outputs, objectives and work plan; compilation of monthly progress report and other reporting material; Organizing and conducting meetings with line ministries and other relevant stakeholders; assist Senior Programmes Officer in project implementation and monitoring, including participation in fields visits; the candidate will also have opportunities to engage directly and learn from the Organization’s staff and any other duties assigned Minimum qualification and experience A holder of a degree in development studies, Social Work for not more than 3 years, voluntarism background; written and verbal communication skills; team player; must be a self-starter and innovative. NB: The candidate must be a resident in Chitungwiza. The incumbent will need to be a competent and excellent communicator, organised and efficient, have great attention to detail and the flexibility to enjoy a demanding and varied role.
