The Role

 

In this role, you will be expected to coordinate office operations and schedule activities on instruction from management. You will need to have previous experience in an administration/operation department, ideally in a similar position. You will be able to manage and prioritize multiple projects/tasks independently. We will need you to be proficient in Microsoft Office programs, and be fluent in English (written and verbal).

 

 

Duties

  • Supporting Management in daily activities.
  • Creating filing systems
  • Providing administrative support to Business Developers and Senior Management
  •  Oversee office including greeting visitors, purchasing supplies, general problem solving
  • General communications to partners and contacts
  • Creation of databases including mail and contacts lists etc
  • Dealing with email inquiries
  • Taking minutes
  • Diary management and arranging appointments, booking meeting rooms and conference facilities
  • Data entry (sales figures etc.)
  • General office management such as ordering stationery
  • Organizing travel and accommodation for staff and customers
  • Arranging both internal and external events
  • Possibly maintaining the company social media accounts

 

 

Requirements

 

  •  1-3+ years of experience in a similar role.
  •  ‘Right to work’ in Zimbabwe or SADC
  •  Bachelor's or Master's degree
  • Fluent in Shona and English, knowledge of any other language is an added advantage
  • Ability to observe business etiquette and maintain a professional appearance.

  •  Outgoing – you should love speaking to people and enjoy building relationships with customers and community members across cultures
  •  Execution-oriented – we are an early-stage start-up with an “impact-first” philosophy and a lot to be done. You should be able to overturn objections, accelerate “point A to point B”, and sprint towards outcomes
