Qualifications
Master’s Degree in Economics, Agriculture, Public Health, International Development, or related field Bachelor degree in any area related to Livelihoods, Economic Development, Agriculture, Livestock, or Social Sciences. Strong understanding of FSL systems, established Livelihoods practices, Minimum Economic Recovery Standards; Three to five years of technical expertise in the areas of Food Security, Economic development or Livelihoods; At least 7 years of solid management and leadership experience and a track record of success in designing, implementing, managing and monitoring FSL programming in different humanitarian settings; Demonstrated strong ability with project grants management, including project design, budget preparation, expenditure tracking, monitoring and evaluation, reporting, etc; Experience with start-up and expansion of new programmes, preferably livelihood, food security or cash-based interventions; Ability to work with diplomacy, tact and sensitivity and experience in working within different cultural contexts requiring cultural sensitivity; Experience in strategic thinking and planning skills, be able to set priorities, prepare manageable work plans and to evaluate progress; Experience in Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) techniques and a good grasp of project cycle management, and knowledge of participatory methods, data collection methodologies, including and experience in analysis of livelihoods data; Knowledge and experience of cash/voucher systems, of Early Warning Early Action projects, of social behavior change communication around FSL, health and nutrition; Sound judgment, ability to extract, interpret, analyse and format data and resolve operational problem, ability to work with minimum supervision; Good networking skills and experience in working and maintaining good relationships with partner organizations, line ministries and donors.
