his is a 12 month fixed term contract. The position requires exceptional Finance Management skills and experience. as well as superior interpersonal. people management and leadership skills. The incumbent should be wiling to work outside normal working hours. The incumbent will be on a performance based contract and wil report to the Executive Director Finance and Corporate Services.


OVERALL PURPOSE:

The job holder is responsible for financial management and advising management on appropriate financial planning and decision making processes. This includes advising on investments, savings, pensions or insurance products.



 


 

JOB DESCRIPTION

 Preparing and interpreting financial reports, budgets, accounts and financial statements.

Carrying out financial risk assessment of operational activities in accordance with standards and techniques.

Controling income, cash flow and expenditure

Analyzing costs, pricing, variable contributions, sales results and the Board’s actual performance compared to the business plans.

Advising on investment activities and provide strategies for investments.

Conducting reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities.

Managing the preparation of the Board’s budgeting process.

Developing trends and projections for the Board’s finances.

Creditors and debtors management.

Overseeing operations of the finance division. set goals and objectives. and design a framework for these to be met.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND ATTRIBUTES

B Acc degree or equivalent

5 years working experience

MBA, MBL, ACCA, CIMA or OS an added advantage

Should be a mature and responsible person

Highly analytical and attentive to detail

A good team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ethical conduct very important as are issues of personal integrity and trustworthiness.
