The incumbent will be reporting to the Managing Director. 
The position is responsible for controlling and coordinating the financial administration aspects of the organisation to protect shareholder value and to support achievement of business objectives through optimal utilisation of financial resources and implementation of financial management control systems to the best advantage of the company. 
The Finance services are provided in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards for effective decisions through timely, accurate information. 

Key Responsibilities include the following: 

1. Strategic Contribution - planning and implementation 
2. Financial Management and Control system - development and implementation of accounting
standards, policies and procedures 
3. Financial reporting to provide accurate financial information for decision-making in accordance
with Public Accountants and Auditors Board (PAAB) requirements 
4. Financial audits - liaises with both internal and external auditors and ensures implementation
of corrective action that arises from the audits 
5. Financial planning for the organisation - budgeting and budget performance 
6. Treasury management 
7. Credit Control oversight 
8. Oversight of the Information Communication Technology Unit (ICT) 
9. Development of the ICT strategy for the organisation 
10. Human Resources Management for the finance division 

Work/Educational Requirements

Minimum Job and Person Specifications 
• Degree in Accounting /approved Finance-related discipline or equivalent 
• A professional qualification e.g., ACCA/CIMA/CIS etc is a must. 
• Registration with the Public Accountants and Auditors Board is a must 
• Membership of a relevant professional body, is a must 
• Post graduate qualification in business administration or equivalent is an added advantage • Minimum of five-seven years in a relevant senior position
