Job Summary

Applications are invited from competent suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill in the position based in Harare.


Duties and Responsibilities

Expected key deliverables:

1.      Timely and accurate recording of  vouchers into pastel

2.      Produce bank and cash reconciliations;

3.      Produce monthly management accounts

4.      Produce audited financial statements

5.      Update the asset register;

6.      Perform a physical count of assets and agree the asset register to the Pastel records and financial statements.

7.      Ensure compliance of the procurement policy so that value for money, timeliness, and efficient transportation and delivery is achieved;

8.      Prepare payment vouchers and proper matching of documents;

9.      Timely time sheets filled out and filed;

10.   Administer invoices and expenses claims received, code items to agreed budgets, and action payments;

11.   Filing of all relevant paperwork, labelling of files and proper maintenance of files including Project(s) files;

12.   Work alongside the department officers and performs a variety of administrative, clerical and basic finance tasks;

13.   Assist in institutional audit;

14.   Managing stationery by filling and keeping the stationery request forms up-to date.

15.   Support the logistics of events (conferences, workshops and training) at national and regional levels.

16.   Maintaining and inputting project(s) statistics to the suitable databases;

17.   Support with the department’s logistical work such as performing banking activities.

18.   Monthly Statutory returns

19.   Motor vehicles service and maintenance and policy compliance.

Qualifications and requirements

·        Degree in Accounting or Finance.

·        Excellent knowledge of MS Excel and accounting software.

·        Strong knowledge of bookkeeping

·        Degree in Accounting or Finance.

·        Driver’s license

·        Good interpersonal skills

·        Ability to maintain privacy and confidentiality
