We train, mentor, and resource citizens to strengthen systems of accountability to unleash positive social and economic change. The Lab also strives to reinvent the way that development organizations operate through radical transparency, context-appropriate reporting, and creative awareness campaigns. The Accountability Lab Zimbabwe Trust recently registered in Zimbabwe, is a non-profit organization affiliated to Accountability Lab in Washington DC and other Labs around the world.

Position description

Accountability Lab Zimbabwe Trust is looking for an experienced Finance assistant for join its finance team. The Finance Assistant will be responsible for preparing payment vouchers, cash handling, banking and processing transaction into QuickBooks. The position will raise receipts and invoices, generate routine reports. The Finance Assistant will maintain filing records and oversee inventory management. The Finance Assistant will report to the Senior Finance Officer in financial function.

Any other duties related to finance.

Qualifications

A degree in Accounting; CIS or equivalent qualification; 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role working in a computerized accounting office in an NGO set up. Quick Books Experience will be an added advantage; 3 years experience in USAID financial reporting and compliance requirements environment; Proficiency in relevant computer applications and databases; Experience in grants management experience, including experience enhancing financial management capacity of civil society organizations., an added advantage

Location: Harare with possibility of travel within Zimbabwe

Compensation: Competitive, commensurate with skills and experience.
