Introduction
A Local Non-Governmental Organisation is seeking the services of a Field Officer. The Field Officer reports to the Programs Officer and must be able to relocate to the rural areas.
Job description
To execute all duties assigned by the supervisor for the benefit of the project;
To mentor Secondary Caregivers, Village Health Workers, CCWs and other community based cadres on monthly basis;
To technically support ward based and school based Child Protection Committees ensuring that meetings are held monthly within officer’s work area;
To coordinate all clinic based interventions including prevention, support and care activities;
Oversee the beneficiaries selection process within the area of operation;
Undertake beneficiary profiling and verification;
Conduct regular home visits to deserving cases within the site;
Facilitate capacity building trainings of the community based cadres for effective delivery of services;
Mentor HES Facilitators for effective delivery of household economic strengthening initiatives;
To coordinate community based data collection processes by community cadres;
Field based data quality check and assessment for onward submission to the national office;
Production of activity, monthly, quarterly and annual reports for submission to the national office;
To maintain a field presence through sensitisation meetings and community feedback meetings on program focus and progress.
Qualifications
Degree in Social Work, Development Studies or related discipline from a recognised institution;
A clean class 3 drivers licence and ability to ride a motorbike;
At least 3 years experience in a similar role in the NGO sector;
Experience implementing USAID OVC programs.

excellent networking and partnership building skills;
research analytical and problem solving skills.
