The Red Hat Southern Region Sales team is looking for an experienced Enterprise Account Manager with an ability to develop and cultivate meaningful senior executive relationships to join us in Melbourne, Australia. In this role, you will be primarily responsible for representing Red Hat''s solutions and services to Victorian and SA government accounts and universities. You will be expected to determine the sales strategy and messaging, aligning the virtual team to then implement this. Your key measure of success will be the growth you can promote in new business within these named accounts.
- Promote new business and consequently grow significantly the Red Hat share of wallet in key named accounts
- Manage effective sales processes aligning team associates for maximum effect
- Understand customer problems and opportunities to map solutions and deliver outcomes
- Understand both technical and business trends in the industry and present a challenger thought leadership position
- Meet performance expectations and set high standards for articulation and presentation of key messages and value proposition to C-level executives
- Persuade architects, infrastructure and application managers, and CIOs of the value proposition for Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), application development and middleware, and cloud offerings
- Maintain a high level of business development activity
- Develop and work with an ecosystem of business partners and influencers in the territory to assist with the sales process
- Enter and maintain all customer and sales details in Salesforce.com (SFDC)
- 7+ years of successfully selling technology offerings or solutions
- 5+ years of experience selling into state government
- Proven ability to establish, nurture, and develop trusted C-level relationships in large accounts
- Demonstrated experience successfully growing new business in large accounts in the software or services industry
- Ability to articulate comprehensive technological strategies to a wide range of decision-makers within an organization
- Ability to convince architects, infrastructure and application managers, and chief information officers (CIOs) of the value proposition for the Red Hat portfolio
- Knowledge and experience of the complete sales cycle management from prospecting to the closing of enterprise business
- Ability to think strategically and tactically
- Infrastructure or application development experience along with a passion for open source technologies is a plus
