Location: Muzarabani Communal Lands, Lower Centenary District, Mashonaland Central Province, Zimbabwe Organizational Background Lower Centenary Producers Trust is a registered Zimbabwean Development Trust which was established in 2016 to empower communities through the Food Security and Market Linkages Programme in the rural areas of Muzarabani. Currently, LCPT is implementing an Integrated Rural Development and Marketing Project for smallholder farmers funded by the German Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development. The aim of the project is to contribute to food security for 4,000 small scale farmers and to enable them to earn an extra income through marketing of their excess harvests. Purpose of the Evaluation The main purpose is to provide an independent assessment of the relevance, effectiveness, the impact and outcomes both positive and negative, in order to improve the project design and implementation of similar upcoming interventions. The objective of the end of project evaluation is to assess the viability of the components in relation to household income and to determine the overall sustainability of the project. Consultant Profile A minimum of a BSC degree in Social Sciences, Agricultural Economics or other relevant fields with mixed-methods of evaluation experience is required. Experience in data collection through participatory methods and techniques in order to promote consultations with the target groups is a necessity, including the undertaking of back-office analysis (e.g., desk review).
