Grade: F1 Reports to: Chief Director, Spatial Planning and Development Station: Head Office Duties and Responsibilities
  • Formulate and review design concepts, schematic designs and preliminary plans for urban streetscape improvement, parks, affordable housing and commercial development, as well as integrated community urban design plans.
  • Superintend over the preparation of construction plans, specifications and bidding documents for urban landscape improvements.
  • Oversee the administration and inspection of construction plans, specifications and bidding documents.
  • Coordinate necessary urban land use and construction of urban landscape improvements.
Qualifications
  • A degree in Rural and Urban Planning/Town Planning/Regional and Urban Planning/Urban Design or equivalent.
  • A relevant Masters Degree or Diploma in Landscaping/Architecture
  • At least 2 years' relevant experience at Deputy Director level or equivalent grade.
  • Membership of the Zimbabwe Institute of Rural and Urban Planning (ZIRUP) and/or the Royal Town Planning Institute (UK) (RTPI)
