Background UN Women, grounded in the vision of equality enshrined in the Charter of the United Nations, works for the elimination of discrimination against women and girls; the empowerment of women; and the achievement of equality between women and men as partners and beneficiaries of development, human rights, humanitarian action and peace and security. Within its flagship programme on ending violence against women, the Spotlight Initiative (SI); UN Women Zimbabwe is strengthening the capacity of women’s groups, autonomous social movements and civil society organisations at community level to design, implement and monitor programmes on VAWG, including SGBV/HP, and to promote women and girls’ SRHR. This will be done in order to build a strong social movement against SGBV, harmful practices and to promote sexual and reproductive health and rights. The Agency is therefore; supporting the deployment of graduate interns - referred to as Innovators Against Gender Based Violence (IAGs) and providing in-house technical support to women's groups and CSOs through this internship programme whilst promoting volunteerism at community level to produce a sustainable social movement. Duties and Responsibilities Manage the day-to-day running of the IAG programme, through communicating relevant information to and from the IAGs, following up the functioning of administrative arrangements with host organizations; Technically support the IAGs in the development of their programme and or campaign to address SGBV/HP/SRHR in the districts where they are stationed with guidance from the eVAW programme specialist; Carry out site visits to assess the progress and well-being of the IAGs; Support the IAGs Facilitator to organize and provide the needed administrative support in preparation of the IAGs mid-term and end-term deployment review meetings; Support the documentation of the IAGs innovations, including publication in scientific journals; Promote the use of IAGs innovation results amongst host organizations.
