CCMT background

Founded in 2003, the Centre for Conflict Management and Transformation (CCMT) is a Zimbabwean Non-Governmental Organization working in the field of conflict transformation and peace-building. CCMT has a vision of a Zimbabwe that enjoys peace and harmony created through cooperation and sustainable conflict management and transformation. To that end, it sees its mission as helping to build a culture of non-violence and peaceful resolution of all forms of conflict in Zimbabwe and the SADC region by enhancing the capacity of individuals, organisations and communities to effectively manage and transform their conflicts.

CCMT seeks to respond to the current needs and operating context in Zimbabwe and the region, and thus in keeping with its mission, CCMT’s goal is to promote the transformation of community conflicts into opportunities for positive change through capacity building, research and conflict prevention and management interventions.

The Project

CCMT implemented its first project from May 2017 entitled “Strengthening cohesion in communities of Irrigation Schemes in the Midlands province” project in Mberengwa and Vungu Rural District councils (Midlands Province) funded by Bread for the World (BfdW).
