Youth Innovation and Transformation Trust (YITT)

Deadline: 18 February 2021

Background

Youth Innovation and Transformation Trust (YITT), is a non-governmental humanitarian organisation dedicated to the reduction of suffering and working towards the ultimate elimination of extreme poverty in the world’s poorest countries. YITT’s aim is to help young people living in extreme poverty achieve major improvements in their lives, which last and spread without on-going support from the organisation. To achieve this aim, the organisation engages in long term development work and seeks to address the root causes of extreme poverty. YITT has been working in Zimbabwe as an informal group since 2015, but was formally registered as a Trust in 2020.

Programme summary

The consortium, led by YITT (“consortium lead”) in partnership with Bulawayo Vendors and Traders Association (BVTA), Vendors Initiative for Social and Economic Transformation (VISET), and the Centre for Information and Technology (CITE) (“consortium members”) is going to implement the CISU funded STELLAR ( Strengthening Livelihoods and Resilience) of Urban Youth project in Bulawayo and Harare.
