About Emthonjeni Womens Forum
Emthonjeni Women’s Forum (EWF) is an organisation whose thrust is on women’s constitutional rights focusing more on gender-based violence, socio economic rights and women’s participation in developmental issues in their communities. This is done through building the capacity of women and information dissemination on women’s rights. EWF is currently operating in Matabeleland North and South. Therefore, EWF is seeking a consultant to document the project’s success stories.
Background to the consultancy
Emthonjeni Women's Forum is conducting an intervention titled ‘Women Demanding Accountable Governance’ in Tsholotsho. This intervention seeks to increase women’s participation in governance and democracy processes through capacitating women with necessary skills to advocate for the fulfilment of their rights. The project is being implemented in 6 wards of Tsholotsho targeting women as primary targets and men and duty bearers as secondary targets. Hence, EWF is looking for a consultant to document project success stories in Tsholotsho in print.
Tasks under this consultancy
The consultant will be expected to document the success stories working closely with EWF staff and structures on the ground.
Deliverables
The Consultant will be responsible for the following deliverables: Submission of the draft success stories document for EWF for review and input; Design a cover for the success stories document; Submission of final draft for printing; Detailed success stories of approximately 15 pages profiling project outline, lessons learnt and best practices.
Duration
The detailed assignment timelines will be agreed upon with the successful candidate.
Bid format
Technical and Financial proposals not exceeding 3 pages should be submitted to EWF including a resume of not more than 3 pages. A sample of similar work done previously should be submitted.
Qualifications and experience
Advanced degree in Social Science or related field with experience in development work; A qualification in women’s rights and gender studies will be an added advantage; More than 5 Years’ experience in related work; Women are encouraged to apply.
