Qualifications, Experience and Attributes
Applicants must possess the following:
⢠A Higher National Diploma in Computer Science or Programming.
⢠Five Ordinary Level passes including Mathematics and English Language.
⢠Basic PC, Printer and Networking troubleshooting skills.
⢠Keeness to learn acquires new skills and maintenance of strong working
knowledge of supported systems.
⢠Good diagnostic, analytical and problem solving skills.
Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidates would be responsible for:
⢠Assisting undergraduate and postgraduate students in data entry and
analysis
⢠Training students in the application of statistical software including SPSS,
STATA, R and SAS
⢠Conduct research, in collaboration with the Departmental staff
⢠Developing computer applications that can be used by different stakeholders
including farmers and policy makers
⢠Internet and email configuration and support.
⢠Anti-virus software and installation.
⢠Performing daily back-ups and recovery strategies.
⢠Any other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.
