Job summary
The incumbent will be responsible for generation of mass storage, consolidation of success stories, knowledge management products and stakeholder reports.
Key duties and responsibilities
Identifies potential success stories and plans for documentation; Produces communication workplans and shares with the Team Leader; Solicits stories, photos and quotes from the project’s districts of operation; Assists in the consolidation of all success stories from districts; Assists in the production of knowledge management products (reports, fact sheets, infomercials); Assists in reviewing content and writes brief articles for the project monthly SITREP; Assists in designing branding materials of the project; Assists in providing coverage on events such as hand over ceremonies, trainings, road shows / van messaging and donor visits; Solicits media coverage in line with CARE media policy guidelines; Promotes project activities through social media platforms in ways that align with CARE media policy; Consolidates project narrative reports; Organises the project drop box folders and archive project documents (soft and hard copy) as per project requirements.
Qualifications, skills and experience
Degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations or related field; 1 year working experience in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations or related field; Excellent written and verbal communication skills; Knowledge of digital tactics eg social media marketing, development of videos or documentaries; Excellent critical thinking skills and the ability to exercise good judgment and solve problems quickly and effectively; Excellent writing or documentation skills; Creativity in generation of brand visibility and communication materials; Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite, Corel Draw, or other professional editing software; Capable of using a digital camera and taking photos for use in publications
