VACANT POST: CLINIC MANAGER
The Collaborative Clinical Research Centre (CCRC) is seeking a competent suitably trained and qualified Research Nurse to work at the CCRC Research Site in Harare. 2 Allan Wilson Avenue, Belgravia. The CCRC implements high level HIV prevention and treatment research and collaborates with a brood range of partners nationally and internationally.
Qualifications and Attributes
n Degree or Diploma in nursing and midwifery.
n Knowledge of protocol adherence and GCP.
n 5 years' experience working in clinical research.
n Possesses strong management and analytical skills.
n Good organizational skills and accurate reporting of data.
n Experience of managing confidential patient records.
n Excellent oral and written communication skills (Shona and English).
n Excellent interpersonal skills and team work.
Responsibilities and Duties:
n Reports to CCRC Programme Director or Designee Senior Investigator
n Must be able to work closely and amicably with Investigators, Doctors, Pharmacists, Trial Managers, Data Managers, Site Lab Scientists, Counsellors, Outreach Staff and Support Staff.
n Overall responsibility for the supervision of clinic staff.
n Will have oversight of the flow of all clinic research activities and smooth running of the dinic.
n Will ensure the proper implementation of all study protocols.
n Monitor research activities dosely and formulate corrective procedures where necessary.
n Ensure recruitment and retention progresses as per schedule and ensure accurate data collection.
n Monitoring of accrual and tracking participant retention.
n Ensure effective management of client visits & that they obtain appropriate care.
n Ensure protocol adherence i.e. proper consenting process, screening, enrollment, randomization and follow up with proper documentation as per ICH-GCP.
n Develop quality assurance and control measures and respond to QC reports.
n Maintenance of Infection Control standards.
n Routinely provide study updates to Investigators, Medical Officers and Programme Director.
n Ordering and controlling of all clinic stocks. (clinic supplies, equipment, stationery, etc).
n Monitor and oversee the correct reimbursement of participant travel and visit funds.
n Ensure effective communication with staff, colleagues and clients.
n Assess and monitor staff requirements.
n Monitor sick / annual / maternity leave for staff and conduct staff appraisals.
■ Motivate staff for effective performance, plan, organize and facilitate relevant training for clinic staff.
n Continually assess the learning needs of clinic staff and take appropriate action.
n Maintain a high degree of professionalism, ethics and conduct.
