The Job Reporting to the Group Business Development Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following albeit focusing on tech-savvy initiatives: Conducting market research on key strategic initiatives, existing products and new products. Keeping track of industry trends to aid in keeping ahead of competition (market intelligence). Contributing to the review and structuring of the Innovation Framework to foster an innovative culture amongst employees. Contributing to the design and analysis of the pilot testing programme for key strategic products or projects. Gathering and analysing data from pilot testing programmes and preparing reports for consideration by the manager. Assisting in identifying and analysing business partners, writing business proposals for new business opportunities for consideration by the manager. Assisting the manager in managing key projects in the department using sound project management practices. The Person The ideal candidate must possess the following: • A degree in Economics, Business Studies, Accounting, IT or related field. • A Project Management certificate will be an added advantage. At least three (3) years of experience in a similar or related environment. Experience in a telecommunications or digital space will be an added advantage. Innovative, tech-savvy, credible and comfortable with dealing with all levels of staff across the Group. Excellent communication skills both oral and written. A competent writer of business letters and able to do motivational write-ups and proposals. Ability to work under pressure.
