The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) is primarily mandated to provide international protection and humanitarian assistance, and to seek permanent solutions for persons within its core mandate responsibilities i.e. refugees, displaced persons, stateless and asylum seekers.

Position summary

The Information Management Officer (IMO) will support the Cluster coordinator in delivering on the Cluster’s Core Functions as defined by the Inter-Agency Standing Committee (IASC).; The IMO will ensure that the basics of Protection Information Management are in place in Zimbabwe in line with the minimum requirements and standards defined in the Global Protection Cluster (GPC) Operational Footprint, and the GPC Protection Analytical Framework; S/He will engage with the AoRs and partners to ensure timely and effective information sharing, consolidation and analysis in accordance with Cluster’s frameworks, templates, and minimum requirements (particularly 5W, funding tracking, and protection assessment and monitoring data and information).; S/He will also support the Cluster Coordinator in undertaking regular collective protection analysis, manage and produce database, dashboards, factsheets, and Protection Briefs. ; The IMO shall work closely with OCHA counterparts to ensure appropriate data sharing and reporting to interagency frameworks.; The IMO, working with the Protection Officer and the Registration and Operational Data Management, will support the improvement of collection and dissemination of operational data for all refugee sectors, especially in Tongogara camp.

Qualifications

For P1/NOA - 1-year relevant experience with Undergraduate degree; or no experience with Graduate degree; or no experience with Doctorate degree
