Responsibilities Include:

• General Apple Operations Management – operating costs per unit (pruning, spraying, fertilizing, irrigation, packaging & land preparation)
• Strategic planning, capex planning and execution including new plantings,
• Drive ongoing continuous improvement focusing on detail around quality, volumes and yields,
• Manage the grading, marketing and storage of apples
• Recruiting, leading and developing first class management team inclusive of assistant section.
• Attention to detailed operations systems and SOPs to drive productivity and quality and crop planning from field through to packhouse,
• Drive adoption of global best practices and benchmarks with local innovation,
• Budgets, forecasts and weekly reports, financial analysis and planning,
• Ability to plan and develop capacity depth and skills at all levels through operations,
• Closely guard reputation and integrity of the business.

Qualifications and Experience Required:

• Strong Agriculture Diploma or Horticulture Degree from reputable organization
• A qualification in Marketing will be an added advantage
• Minimum of 5 years in a commercial horticulture or tobacco and 3 years at
• management level.
• Experience in any high attention to detail, export oriented horticultural cropping or plantations.
