A growing and diversified entity looking for an experienced Accounts Clerk. Deliverables will be grouped into financial reporting, sound internal controls, and compliance with regulations. Experience in and knowledge of Leisure, Travel & Tourism; ICT and Logistics will be an added advantage.
Reporting Structure
Reporting To: Managing Director
Supervised by: Group Accountant
Interacts With: Internal and External Stakeholders
JOB DESCRIPTION
§ Provide accounting and clerical support to the accounting department
§ Type accurately, prepare and maintain accounting documents and records
§ Prepare bank deposits, general ledger postings and statements
§ Reconcile accounts in a timely manner
§ Daily enter key data of financial transactions in database
§ Provide assistance and support to company personnel
§ Research, track and restore accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies
§ Inform management and compile reports/summaries on activity areas
§ Function in accordance with established standards, procedures and applicable laws
§ Other corporate accounting duties or supervision of duties as assigned
COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS
Experience 2 years
Education Level Degree
Qualifications Accounting or Finance degree (Full ACCA or CIMA as alternatives)
Software Palladium
Equipment Laptop
Knowledge Of: Leisure, Travel & Tourism; ICT and Transport & Logistics
Skills To : Problem solve, think critically and analyse data
Ability To: Communicate effectively at all levels and work with others in a team environment
