Description :

We are an engineering company based in Harare and we are looking for an Accounts Clerk on a fixed-term contract, preferably a female candidate, who is able to start asap. 


Accounts Clerk Job Profile


Reporting to the Finance Assistant and the General Manager, the incumbent is expected to be familiar with bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures, a self-starter, team player, result-driven and detail-oriented individual.


Key Responsibilities


·     Processing cashbook transactions


·     Preparing bank reconciliations daily


·     Posting supplier invoices in Pastel


·     Preparing monthly VAT schedules


·     Preparing monthly Withholding Tax schedules


·     Handling of all accounting queries by telephone and email


·     General office duties such as filing of important documents


·     Any other duties that may be assigned


Minimum Requirements


·     A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Advanced Diploma in Accounting


·     At least 1-year of bookkeeping experience


Knowledge, Skills, Attributes


·     Competency in using Pastel Partner is a must


·     Hands-on experience with spreadsheets (MS Excel) and MS Office


·     Accuracy and attention to detail


·     Aptitude for numbers


·     Ability to perform filing and record-keeping tasks


·     Good interpersonal and teamwork skills
