Responsibilities
Reporting to the Finance and Franchise Director, the incumbent will be responsible for the following:
1. Carries out all finance-related issues and activities.
2.Prepares, implements, monitors, and reviews the FB budget and related systems
3. Prepares financial reports for submission to the board and relevant parties.
4. Allocates funds in compliance with the funders and general accounting standards and regulations as well as per policies and procedures.
5. Implements fraud mitigation practices and ensures systems and processes are executed efficiently and effectively to support FB’s mission.
6. Efficiently and effectively manages the trust’s statutory taxation obligations.
Requirements
●A bachelor’s degree in business administration, economics, accounting, finance or related field
●Possession of a professional qualification.
●A minimum of 5-7 years’ experience in a financial monitoring role with at least 3 years in the NGO environment, leading all finance and operations aspects of projects, including procurement, general administrative processes, HR and financial management.
●Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting and Auditing Principles and laws, rules and regulations
●Analytical approach to work & ability to plan, organize, implement, evaluate and modify financial programs, informational support systems and processes
