Job summary
Support the implementation of a cash transfer project at District and Ward level Assist in planning, organizing, implementing and monitoring cash transfer programming in all our areas of operation. The position will implement the technical field activities in collaboration with the beneficiary communities, partners, and other technical departments of Nutrition Action Zimbabwe at base level.
Key Jobs Responsibilities
At the guidance and Direction of the District Program Coordinator (DPC) the (CTA) will ensure the implementation of program activities as defined in the project document by: Assist in sensitisation of local government structures, communities and traditional authorities on the targeting criteria and identification and registration of the beneficiaries for the delivery of Minimum Expenditure Basket MEB: Help oversee delivery of regular cash transfers and helping ensure the resolution of any problems; Assist in training of any NAZ staff on cash transfer programming.Actively participate in relevant field assessments to identify the beneficiaries’ needs and viable business opportunities, ensuring assessment findings are documented and that all assessments include a specific analysis of children’s needs; Organize the training of cash beneficiaries on the identified needs; Conduct the implementation and monitoring of all activities, at field level, as laid out in the plan of action; Assist in the registration of target families, ensuring that the data is collected and is recorded appropriately; Conducting awareness raising and messaging for affected beneficiaries on the program; Build capacity of cash beneficiaries on basic financial literacy for the nutrition-sensitive expenditures.; Roll out monthly post distribution monitoring, evaluation of operational performance and accountability protocols linked to beneficiary registration tools; Developing monthly detailed program activity implementation plans for the interventions; Ensure promotion of strong linkages between the program and other existing programs; Facilitating coordination with authorities for all activities (share information, assist as needed and feasible for NAZ); Conducting any other activities as requested by the District Program Coordinator
Ensure timely routine reporting of project activities: Participate in weekly/ monthly base meetings: Compile activity and training reports: Compile statistical data and draft appropriate reports on activities: Analyze food security situation and prevailing trends and provide constructive written feedback: Participate during program assessments as may be determined by the DPC: Documentation of best practices for learning purposes and increase program visibility
Qualifications, skills and Experience
At least first Degree/HND qualification in social policy, social science, international development, Nutrition, economics or related relevant discipline: At least 2 years of experience in Food Security and Livelihood and Economic empowerment programming. Humanitarian context experience: Ability to work with minimal supervision: Experience in cash transfer projects an added advantage Ability to work as part of a field team and successfully join up work with partner staff: Good command of English (written and verbal). Availability of a clean class 3 drivers license and ability to ride a motorbike is an added advantage
