Reporting to: Programmes Manager Contract Duration: 36 Months Leonard Cheshire Disability Zimbabwe (LCDZ), a local Zimbabwean registered disability services organisation seeks for suitably qualified candidates to fill up the above positions that have arisen within the organisation. The position is funded by the European Union and in collaboration with the coordinating partners Plan International. The purpose of the position based in Masvingo, Midlands and Manicaland Provinces of Zimbabwe is to strengthen Disabled Persons Organisations (DPOs)’s capacity for self-advocacy and expertise on disability to enable them to engage with their communities, duty bearers, policy makers and other CSOs in meaningful policy dialogue, while ensuring the participation of women and youth with disabilities in key decision making and governance processes which affect their lives. The position also prepares DPOs capacity in implementing preparedness and response for humanitarian actions. Qualifications and experience Relevant educational background in Social Studies/ Development Studies/ Social Work/Humanitarian Aid; Five years of professional experience in disability and relief work, with strong knowledge of disability inclusive programming, disability rights and inclusive emergency programming. Solid training and facilitation skills and possession of a clean class four driver’s licence.
