Project Officer (Horticulture)

Person Specifications

    • Degree in Agriculture (preferably majoring in horticulture);
    • Minimum of five years of relevant experience, implementing a donor-funded project;
    • Good oral and written communication skills;
    • Fluent English and Ndebele essential;
    • Team player and able to work under tight deadlines;
    • Familiarity with Project Management Cycle;
    • High appreciation of resilience building and climate change issues;
    • Highly computer literate, especially in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint;
    • Clean class 5 and 4 drivers license.

Project Officer (NFIs)

Person Specifications

  • Degree in Social Sciences such as Social work, Development studies, Sociology, etc.)
  • A financial background will be an added advantage;
  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, implementing a donor-funded project

Project Coordinator

Person Specifications

  • First degree in Agriculture, Rural Development, Social Work or any other related field., plus a Master’s degree in a relevant study area;
  • At least ten years of relevant work experience (NGO work), four of which should be at the supervisory level; Highly computer literacy accompanied with critical thinking and analytic skills including oral and written skills; Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required to train / coach staff and give occasional presentations;
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills required to meet tight deadlines;
  • Familiarity with Project Management Cycle including appreciation of financial management;
  • A self-starter, able to work independently but as part of a team; Practical fieldwork experience with proven experience in Mainstreaming of Gender, HIV and AIDS,
  • Environmental, protection and DRM in community projects;

Project Finance and Admin Manager

Qualifications/Educational Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting required, plus a professional qualification;
  • A Masters degree will be an added advantage;
  • Minimum of eight years of professional and relevant experience in the NGO sector, three of which at a senior level
  • Good knowledge of Pastel accounting package and financial reporting;
  • Familiarity with managing donor grants and budgeting processes;
  • Knowledge of formulating organizational policies and procedures;
  • Ability to analyze data and then communicate the results in a concise and detailed manner;
  • Ability to work under pressure, extended hours and meet tight deadlines;
  • Dependable, self-starter and team player
