Zim-TTECH is inviting applications from qualified and experienced professionals for the position of Facility Data Collation Focal Person within its HIV Care and Treatment Program. Zim-TTECH is focused on health system strengthening, epidemiology, strategic information, workforce development, and the prevention, care, and treatment of infectious diseases.
Position Summary
The primary goal of the Facility Data Collation Focal Person is to provide site-level support for strategic information and evaluation. This involves ensuring the timely collection, cleaning, analysis, and reporting of program data. The successful candidate will collaborate with facility staff, conduct data reviews, and implement performance improvement measures. The role reports to the District Strategic Information Officer.
Key Responsibilities
- Mentor facility staff in accurately documenting clinical activities and maintaining registers in line with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Support Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) tasks such as managing appointment diaries, organizing client records, and ensuring proper documentation of clinical consultations.
- Collect and analyze process data and MER indicators on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Collaborate with district teams to compile and submit high-quality data reports on program activities.
- Support the collection and reporting of clinical data using the CommCare mobile application.
- Provide on-site coaching and user support for CommCare and Power BI, ensuring proper device maintenance and resolving technical issues.
- Ensure complete and accurate patient-level data entry in various registers, including ART, Index Testing, and HTS registers.
- Track data syncing to the central server and ensure facilities submit clean and quality data weekly.
- Perform data quality audits and clean incorrect data submitted to CommCare HQ.
- Use Power BI to analyze and visualize program data for evidence-based decision-making.
- Review facility-level reports with staff, track performance against targets, and follow up on identified challenges.
- Participate in weekly facility meetings to discuss improvements and ensure accurate client tracking.
Qualifications and Experience
- A minimum of a diploma in Biostatistics, Statistics, Nursing, Public Health, or a related health field.
- At least 2 years of experience in managing and analyzing health program data. Experience with DHIS2 is an advantage.
- Proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, statistical functions).
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and in collaboration with teams.
- Familiarity with the Zimbabwean health care system and experience working with MoHCC programs is highly desirable.
