Zamani Mbatha Finds A Job After Rhythm City Disappointment
Zamani Mbatha found himself unemployed last year just weeks after he started shooting for Rhythm City role where he played Pule Ndlovu, the adopted son of fan-favorite, Suffocate (played by Mduduzi Mabaso).
After Rhythm City got cancelled, the emotional Mbatha who had just scored a gig to work with people he grew looking up to said that he was pained by the development
“I am sad and heartbroken about it. However, I will not carry it with me the whole way up until the end. So, I have decided that I am going to make the most of the last months I have on the show, performing even 10 times better than now.”
What’s more damning about the sudden cancellation of Rhythm City is that Zamani was supposed to join Clive Morris’s star-studded Telenovela; The Estate but apparently rejected the offer and didn’t sign the contract because of his role on Rhythm City.
So he was left jobless till recently.
News reaching iHarare reveal that Zamani Mbatha has scored a huge lead role with an upcoming etv production series called Isiphindiselo.
However, sources familiar with the development have said that this etv production will not be aired on etv channels.
Unlike his sister who is a well known international actress, Zamani has had his fair share in the local entertainment industry.
Zamani has featured in a few local drama series. And many would know him for playing the role of his namesake, Zamani on Mzansi Magic drama Isithembiso.
