Finance Officer
Job Description:
The Finance Officer plays a vital role in implementing effective and accountable financial and asset control systems. In collaboration with the Finance and Support Services Manager, the Finance Officer ensures the implementation of planning, tracking, and reporting mechanisms that contribute to the success of our programs.
Additionally, they provide technical support to program teams, ensuring adherence to World Vision’s Field Finance Manual for routine financial transactions.
The Finance Officer also plays a key role in promoting awareness of finance and support services policies and procedures among staff members and implementing partners.
Key Responsibilities: The World Vision is Hiring a Finance Officer
- Contribute to the implementation of effective and accountable financial and asset control systems.
- Implement timely planning, tracking, and reporting mechanisms.
- Promote awareness of World Vision policies and procedures.
- Facilitate day-to-day finance transactions.
- Provide technical backstopping to program teams in the preparation of various finance documents.
- Support the preparation and updating of various budget planning documents.
- Analyze existing finance practices and provide advice on improvements.
Essential Qualifications
To be considered for the role, candidates should meet the following requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce/Business Administration (Accounting or Finance option).
- Minimum of 3 years of working experience in the field.
- Knowledge of USAID/US Grants is an added advantage.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
- Ability to present financial data in a clear and coherent manner.
Working Environment
The Finance Officer position will be based in Dollow.
