Welthungerhilfe Is Looking For Fifty (50) x WFP Baseline Survey Enumerators

WHH, in partnership with WFP, is implementing an Urban Social Assistance Project in Chegutu and Gweru Urban Districts were 12000 and 18000 people, respectively, are benefitting from cash transfer assistance. Gweru Urban has been selected as a pilot domain for the implementation of a one-year pilot Urban Resilience Building Project in Gweru. A baseline survey is scheduled to run in March 2021 and findings are to be incorporated into the project activities. The purpose of the baseline study is to scope, compile and organize baseline information for effective implementation of the urban resilience building project in three wards (6, 7 & 8) of Gweru town. Data will be collected from 2381 households that are currently benefiting from the Cash Transfer Program and stakeholders in an effort to identify households to participate in the Urban Resilience Building Project. WHH thus wishes to recruit 50 enumerators to carry out data collection at the household level during the period 15 to 20 March 2021 of which the first two days will be for training of the enumerators.

Job Description 

Duties and Responsibilities

Attend a two-day training to get an appreciation of the questionnaire administration and data collection process; Collect data from identified households and meet or exceed a target of 15 households per day; Submit accurate and properly formatted data to the supervisor(s) in the required format at the end of each day; Adhere to WHH guidelines and Core Humanitarian Standards that will be shared during the training; Adhere to Covid-19 prevention guidelines; Compliance with required Code of Conduct; Immediate communication with the team leader in cases of challenges or necessary support

Qualifications, skills and experience required 

Diploma in any field, possession of a qualification in IT will be an added advantage; Ability to work in a team and interact with communities; Ability and willingness to work long hours; Good communication skills and honesty.
