WATCH| Mampintsha’s Mom Reveals Why She Doesn’t Like Babes Wodumo: “I Won’t Be Ruled By Her”
Mampintsha’s moemish wedding has once again reminded us that the “makoti-mamazala” war is far from over even at this day and age.
The absence of Mampintsha’s mother at her son’s wedding indeed raised some eyebrows, but little was known of the matter.
Luckily for the house music fans, Mampintsha’s mother has revealed in a lengthy video why she never attended her sons traditional wedding last weekend.
She doesn’t like her new daughter in-law and doesn’t want to see her near her son because she doesn’t trust her.
The controversial couple tied their their knot at Ebandla Hotel, Ballito in Durban, KZN on 25 April, Sunday morning.
The wedding was attended by many of Mzansi’s stars including Mampintsha’s old friend Danger; DJ Tira who discovered him; Uzalo actors Khaya Dladla and Nokuthula Mabika; Lvovo and many more.
Present among the guests was Babes Wodumo’s father Bishop Welcome Simelane and mother Thokozile Simelane; Mampintsha’s father Mseshi Mamphumulo; but not his mother.
Their wedding was partly a traditional Umembeso, a gift exchanging tradition where each family gifts each other with presents.
And in such traditions, it is a must that the couple’s parents be present – if they are still alive.
But Mampintsha’s mother, refused to give his son blessings.
On her defense, she says Babes Wodumo isn’t a fight fit for her son.
“I don’t need this woman Mandla has married. I’m saying this in public. I have never started with her, she is the one who always starts with me,” she said.
She is even doubting her daughter in-law’s pregnancy saying she is faking it and may give birth to a cat.
” She must give birth so we see. She put sponges in her tummy. She must give birth to the twins she said she was carrying, ” she added.

But this is a typical mother and daughter in-law squabble. We hope one day she will forgive her daughter in-law.
