Visa is opening its doors for Data Science students who wish to join their organization. To apply, you must be a Data Scientist passionate about joining and taking advantage of Visa’s data to bring solutions to business problems.
Responsibilities of the Data Scientist Interns
- You must be able to think out of the box and want to brainstorm new ways to use data.
- Extract data and understand it to have an opinion on how to be of help to clients
- Apply industrial data techniques to generate insights for customers and address business problems
- Performing Data analysis on the complex and large datasets using tools like SQL, Python, Spark and many more
Requirements of the internship
- Students studying for a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with a graduation date in 2024 or 2025
- Degree in quantitative fields like Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, econometrics
- You must be available to pursue the Presidency internship from June to August 2023
- You must have good presentation, communication and story-telling skills
Extra Skills and competencies for the Visa internship
- Aggregating and Extracting data from big data engines using Spark. Hive or SQL
- Analyze data sets using Python, SQL, SAS, Spark, R or development environments like Jupyter Notebooks
- Communicating data-driven insights and passing on actionable recommendations.
- Managing and organizing work in Office software like Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Teams
- Generating and visualizing data-based insights and passing on recommendations
- Data mining and modelling using the same data
- Analytical and financial analysis skills
- Collaboration skills with a diverse peer group are required.
