Travel Clerk

Qualifications
Completion of secondary school is required.

Minimum 2 years of work experience in travel, transportation, customer service, administration, or procurement.
Good working knowledge (level III) speaking and reading in English is required.
Good working knowledge (level III) speaking Shona is required.
Understanding the structure and responsibility of the Shipping & Travel section and its systems.
Must have knowledge of the motor vehicle registration process in Zimbabwe.
Familiarity with diplomatic entitlements regarding customs and duty-free status.

PRE-HIRE SKILLS AND ABILITIES: 

Familiarity and comfortability in working with Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel and Word is required.
Experience in using computer software suites for email, spreadsheets, and databases is required. Travel Clerk must have great customer service skills and tact in dealing with government officials, travel industry personnel, and American employees. The incumbent must possess a valid Zimbabwe Class 4 driver’s license.

Custodian

 

Minimum of six months of custodial or housekeeping experience is required.

Education Requirements:

Completion of primary school is required.

English level I (Rudimentary) Reading/ Speaking is required.
Shona or Ndebele Level II (Limited knowledge) Reading/Writing/Speaking is required. JOB KNOWLEDGE:Must have adequate knowledge of cleaning and the use of housekeeping materials. Knowledge of current developments concerning new cleaning agents, techniques, and equipment. Must be aware of safety requirements of cleaning related chemicals and identify and report unsafe practices. Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety rules and regulations, including safe handling of standard cleaning chemicals. Must understand and know how to use safety equipment such as a fire extinguisher. 

PRE-HIRE SKILLS AND ABILITIES: 

Ability to physically perform basic manual tasks.
• Ability to use cleaning tools and equipment maintaining safety for self and others.
• Must be able to lift and move objects and ensure hand/eye coordination effectively.
• May be required to stand, bend and/or work in confined spaces for prolonged periods of time.
• Good interpersonal skills to be able to communicate effectively with customers.

Supply Clerk

 

EXPERIENCE:

Required a minimum of two (2) years’ experience of stock taking and inventory control duties, of which one (1) year must be with warehouse management systems that include use of scanners and computer programs. The incumbent must be able to operate warehouse and materials handling equipment, including forklifts.

JOB KNOWLEDGE:

• Use of computer software and technology to source, receive, control and issue stock.
• Must be familiar with warehouse management systems.
• Basic understanding of occupational, safety and health procedures.

PRE-HIRE SKILLS AND ABILITIES: 

• Must have a valid, current license for class four (4) – passenger class type vehicles. Must have had a valid driver’s license for a minimum of five (5) years.
• Ability to operate a forklift.
• Capable to lift heavy objects of least 25 kilograms without assistance.
• Basic computer literacy in Microsoft Office applications; MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint
• Basic understanding of arithmetic
