Agricultural Machinery Operator

 

Requirements

Required academic qualifications, skills, and attitudes:

  • Certificate Course or Diploma in Farm Machinery/Mechanical/Automotive Engineering/Boiler Mechanics or related field with five years of relevant work experience
  • Understand, operate, repair, and maintain engines, farm machinery, and irrigation equipment.
  • Experience working in agricultural machinery companies or mechanization projects would be essential.
  • Candidates must hold a valid driving license (class 3).

Human Resources Assistant

Qualifictions

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources management/ management from a well-recognized university.
  • Conversant with the Zimbabwean Labor laws and labour relations
  • Experience with processing employee’s payroll and benefits. Knowledge of Belina Payroll is a requirement.
  • The selected candidate must be able to demonstrate the following competencies: Interpersonal skills, teamwork, communication, client orientation, and ability to work in a multi-cultural environment.

At least two years’ work experience in human resources within an international organization

Qualifications

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, Administration, or related field

Scientist, Senior Systems Agronomist

Qualifications

  • PhD degree in Plant Sciences, Agroecology, Agronomy, Soil Science, Environmental Science, Farming Systems, or a closely related field.
  • At least eight years of experience with agronomic experimentation, including experience with on-farm research, and experience with modern data analytical and synthesis, including statistical and modeling software program.
  • Strong record of publications, including lead authorship of high-quality scientific publication and experience in translating research results into media formats to reach a broad audience.
  • Proven ability to carry out educational or extension activities to support capacity development and work in gender-aware, multi-cultural environments and in multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Experience in managing medium to large research teams.
  • Project management experience and experience with donors and relationship building would be a plus.
  • Proven resource mobilization track record.
  • High proficiency in written and spoken English.
  • Willingness to spend considerable time away from home.
  • Desire and ability to work respectfully and inclusively in a diverse, multicultural, multidisciplinary work environment.
