Unlocking Global Horizons: Join the UNFPA Global Internship Programme 2024
The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) is on the lookout for exceptional candidates who can bring about transformational change and deliver impactful and sustainable results.
They seek individuals who are transparent, resourceful and committed to achieving excellence in program outcomes.
As the leading UN agency, UNFPA is dedicated to creating a world where every pregnancy is wanted, every childbirth is safe, and every young person’s potential is fulfilled.
Their strategic plan for 2022-2025 reiterates the importance of their current direction, focusing on three transformative results: ending preventable maternal deaths, meeting the demand for family planning, and putting an end to gender-based violence and harmful practices.
These results are aligned with their commitments to accelerate progress in achieving the International Conference on Population and Development (ICPD) and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in the Decade of Action leading up to 2030.
Moreover, their strategic plan urges UN Member States, organizations, and individuals to “build forward better,” addressing the adverse impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on women’s and girls’ access to sexual and reproductive health and rights, recovering lost progress, and achieving their objectives.
In this era where fundamental human rights are at stake, UNFPA seeks principled and ethical staff who embody international norms and standards and are prepared to defend them with courage and conviction.
