1. Logistics Coordinator

Duties and responsibilities

The successful candidate must be able to:

  • Coordinate and monitor supply chain operations at the National Number Plate Plant
  • Develop and implement effective e-tracking systems and e-procedures to monitor the efficiency of operations and productivity of the plant
  • Ensure premises and assets are used effectively
  • Manage inventory and supervise staff members who handle inventory, including ordering inventory when necessary
  • Communicate with all stakeholders to achieve profitable deals and mutual satisfaction
  • Plan track and manage imports and exports related to the Number Plates Production Plant
  • Keep logs and records of warehouse stock, executed orders etc.
  • Manage and document loading bays, Dispatch Notes and Collection Orders for all Inward & Outward cargo.
  • Implement health and safety procedures
  • Undertake any other duties as directed by the Plant Manager

    Requirements and skills

    The ideal candidate must:

  • Have strong interpersonal skills, public relations and customer care, and be creative with a logical and systematic approach to work
  • Be able to work under pressure, balancing competing priorities and meeting deadlines
  • Be able to solve problems and make decisions, track multiple processes, think laterally and offer creative solutions
  • Have knowledge of laws, regulations and ISO requirements related to manufacturing, imports and exports.
  • Be computer-savvy with a working knowledge of logistics software

    Qualifications

    The positions require an individual with: –

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s or HND in Logistics, Business Management, or related field.
  • A Master’s degree in a relevant field would be an added advantage
  • At least five years of relevant experience with purchasing and supply, imports and exports
    handling and operation of plants and maintenance in related fields.

    2. Administration Officer

    The Administration Officer will be responsible for the day-to-day administration of the National Number Plate Plant. He/she will report to the Coordinator.

    Duties and responsibilities

    The ideal candidate is expected to:

  • Provide general administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the Number Plate Production Plant
  • Maintain supplies inventory by checking stock to determine the inventory level of the Plant, anticipating needed supplies, placing and expediting orders and verifying receipt
  • Devise systems to maximize attendance to work by all staff at the Number Plate Production Plant
  • Ensure that all administrative systems are adhered to and implemented in the Department by all staff.
  • Ensure that all staff are properly organized and supervised to ensure effective execution of the maintenance Plant.
  • Monitor the attendance of all staff specifically logging in and out of staff at their workstations.
  • Assist in the drafting and preparation of regularly scheduled reports, memoranda, etc.
  • Ensure that quality control tools/mechanisms are in place so that University’s high standards are achieved and maintained.
  • Filtering all mail and communications and servicing meetings as assigned from time to time.

    Qualifications, Experience and Attributes

    The position requires an individual with:-
  • A Degree in Social Sciences or a related field.
  • At least four years post-qualification working experience.
  • Computer literacy
  • A good record of integrity, honesty, reliability, trustworthiness, good leadership, organizational skills and be of sober habits.
  • Mature, creative individual with the ability to work under pressure and balance competing priorities and meet deadlines.
    • Demonstrate the ability to work with figures, and formulate project proposals and budgets.
