Step-by-step Guide To Update Unisa EFT Details For Student Refunds And Allowances
The open long-distance higher learning institution has recently stated that refunds and/or allowances will be deposited in the future into the accounts of students who qualify for them using a new EFT procedure.
Unisa says that for you to get your allowance, your contact information must be updated. Here is a step-by-step guide on how you can carry out the process:
- A message with the necessary information, and a secure link to a site where the necessary banking information must be provided and submitted, will be sent to your myLifeemail account if you are eligible for a refund and/or allowance.
- After carefully reading the email, click the link, enter your banking details, and then submit it. Note that you may only use your own, open bank account. Payments to accounts held by third parties won’t be processed. The account information will be compared to your ID number for verification.
- Your provided information’s verification status will be shown. Visit the link again until the information is made available as this could not happen right away.
- If the bank account verification is unsuccessful or is rejected, enter your banking information again and double-check that it is accurate.
The Unisa’s Directorate of Student Funding further stated they can attend to any further related queries on dsfref@unisa.ac.za. Students have also been urged to note that refunds may appear in their accounts after up to 15 working days.
NSFAS allowances at Unisa will be processed twice a month, in the first and the third week of each month.
